The salmon sculpture is really a tough one to get your mind around and your isolation of parts is quite compelling. Also like the train bridge. Often contemplated a similar shot, but conditions never were quite right.Chuck Pefleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02886326288618029812noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23860865.post-55089555857822926762008-07-06T11:02:00.000-07:002008-07-06T11:02:00.000-07:00Thanks very much to each of you for your kind comm...Thanks very much to each of you for your kind comments. What doesn't come over well in the collage is the size of these works. The spirals (Salmon Waves) in the center photo are taller than I am, and the Coffee Pot Pergola is perhaps more than three times as tall. The sphere at the top made from blue glass hexegons is supposed to be the ball on the lid of the coffee pot, and these photos don't include the spout which resembles a flower in bloom.

And Virginia and Nathalie, the collage tool I use is FD's Flicker Toys' "Mosaic Maker," which offers very little control over the order in which the photos are arranged unless one goes through very elaborate preparations, which I don't. I can manage to place the center shot, and then I try to tweek only one or two other placements if the tool places things in a really wonky balance. The program is just so inelegant and hard to manipulate, and I haven't enough time to do much else with it.
-KimKimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03687351187791689224noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23860865.post-9027189803315197662008-07-06T09:42:00.000-07:002008-07-06T09:42:00.000-07:00I can't tell which is which but I can tell a great...I can't tell which is which but I can tell a great composition when I see it.
