I used to work there as a mechanic and the sign hung above the used car lot. The dealership closed in 1988. It was called Avalon Volkswagen and was one of the first V.W. dealerships in the Pacific Northwest. It was a great place to work and I still miss the joint.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23860865.post-6933731884877985832010-08-30T08:45:50.761-07:002010-08-30T08:45:50.761-07:00This would have been from our day with Bibi? This would have been from our day with Bibi?Chuck Pefleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02886326288618029812noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23860865.post-19017734246136491332009-08-21T11:09:00.965-07:002009-08-21T11:09:00.965-07:00The owl sign is from Avalon Motors, a long- defunc...The owl sign is from Avalon Motors, a long- defunct Volkswagen dealership that was on Delridge Way SW in the vicinity of White Center. The building shell might still exist, but the dealership itself closed sometime in the early 1970s if I remember correctly.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23860865.post-61892183476045491352009-08-13T19:11:57.151-07:002009-08-13T19:11:57.151-07:00Don't you just wonder what that owl has seen?Don't you just wonder what that owl has seen?brattcathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10382428477056833533noreply@blogger.com
