It won't be very long before we won't see any wasps as it is getting colder here (and in Saint Paul, too, I bet).
-KimKimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03687351187791689224noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23860865.post-18645511815950402062008-10-27T03:55:00.000-07:002008-10-27T03:55:00.000-07:00Thanks very much to each of you for commenting. I had to stop peering through the viewfinder to see if I was seeing things.

Eli, you have that artist's way of seeing things spatially and making connections. I would never have seen that in the composition.
Suz, fun to find your blog through your comment. And, yes I was! I loved the way its front most legs are just dangling down at its sides, so casually. Something I could never have "seen" if the shutter hadn't frozen the moment for me to observe. That's what I love most about using a camera to "see" through. It gives us time and space to really LOOK at something.

Bibi, I remember that lovely shot!

Becky, I think you are right about that!

Kris, Why thank you very much, sir. And how was Henry's happpy birthday? He, Abe, and I have birthday's all in a row. I'm sure Henry enjoyed his the very most of any of us, though. ;^)

Abe, have you recuperated from your birthday fun? Thank you very much. I will be getting over to your blog for a big reading fest later in the week. I noticed Strangetastes had visited your old town in Japan! What are the chances of two Daily City Bloggers visiting the same Japanese town more than 50 years apart?
-KimKimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03687351187791689224noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23860865.post-5443000983383388332008-10-27T02:43:00.000-07:002008-10-27T02:43:00.000-07:00Kim, I love the caption for this photo. At first it's what draws your attention - the bright yellow and green against the beautiful blue sky. Then you see the wasp, and suddenly that's all you can see. The wasp is a spotlight stealer!Beckyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15100023167123234673noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23860865.post-80699158429841530132008-10-26T05:49:00.000-07:002008-10-26T05:49:00.000-07:00I just now discovered the wasp.
