Egret & Ferry

An egret sits atop the farthest post, surveying the water traffic of Elliot Bay. A ferry is coming into the terminal. Although there were clouds when I took this shot, it's a sunny, wonderful Saturday to get out on the water. Of course with a bit of winter chill in the air, the inside of a comfortable ferry is just the ticket. Makes it a cozy trip for an outing to explore one of the islands.

Thank you, and I'm sorry about that, Nora. I guess only folks with a Flickr account can resize the photo.

Beautiful photo... I love the color tone. I just love the Seattle area.

By the way, the Flickr thing... I can't access the 'all sizes' button, either, and I'm one of your contacts. You might have set the 'allowing downloads' section in your account to 'only you' or 'your friends and/or family.' There are other options, such as 'any flickr users' and 'anyone'.

This photo and the previous one is really pristine, clear, and cold looking. Love it. You must take the ferry every day, no?

Celine, Thanks, and thanks for bringing that to my attention. I hope I fixed it by changing the settings.

Don, Blueboat, Tanty, and Michael, Thank you so much! And Michael, mai non! Although I wish I did get to ride them more often than I do. They've become less affordable than in my early student days when they were the best place to study all day.
