Cafe Decisions

As I was walking by a cafe doorway I glimpsed these two young women by chance. The way the late afternoon light outlined the young mother seemed so beautiful to me. I think they were considering food in a display case.

Kim, Excuse the intrusion here, but can't find an email address for you. I just discovered that Seattle is a sister-city to Mazatlán, México where I'll be living for three months this winter. Do you know anything about it--the relationship, that is? Kate (mura.kate@gmail.com)

Kim, love the backlighting, it brings a softness to the pic.
Just to let you know Eric rejected my wanting to join the City Blog. He said I don't blog daily and I don't do exclusive San Francisco pictures. So maybe there is a way to get into just a photo a day blog of some sort.
Thanks for your thoughtfulness and suggestions anyway. Its much appreciated.

I really like this photo. The lighting and the subject are great. Plus I find baby carriages to be life affirming. They make me feel better about the world.

Thank you so much, everyone, for your very kind comments. The name of this place is Cafe Ladro, on Queen Anne hill. I don't think the people pictured have any idea how lovely they are, standing there in their Converse sneakers, limmed in light.

The little dark atmosphere and the contrast between light and shade is very nice. It seem a city in Europe.

I just have to add my expression of appreciation for this photo. It is truely lovely. I must agree with the other comments about the light and mood. This must be one of your prized ones in your collection.
