Do you love museums? Many cities have programs where museums are free to the public one day a month, but Seattle's Frye Art Museum is always free. Created in the 1950s to house and share with the people of Seattle the art collection of Emma and Charles Frye, the museum today boasts a great youth program and classes, visiting artisits' exhibits, contemporary media works, and a rotating exhibit of works from the Frye's original collection of American, French, and German 19th and 20th century paintings. This inviting patio provides outdoor seating for the Gallery Cafe, a pleasant place to sip, nosh, and peruse a book purchased in the gift shop.

It's a great photo in B/W. Love outdoor cafes as much as I love museums. The Minneapolis Institute of Arts is also free and a great educational tool which I used constantly while teaching, esp. world and American literature. My favorite permanent installation in your very own Dale Chihuly: a huge yellow glass chandelier in the entrance foyer. give yourself a treat and visit the MIA web site which I'll do with your art museum now!!

Nice use of B&W. Allows the many textures to show.
