Puyallup Fair

Rain and overcast skies didn't seem to dampen the spirits of the crowds who came out to enjoy the Puyallup Fair on Sunday. There was a huge turnout for the day's featured concert, the Fiestas Patrias Latino Celebration. Last weekend was the Rodeo, and tonight pop saxophonist and Seattle native son Kenny G is in concert. The popular fair is one of the ten largest in the USA, with well maintained fairgrounds that can accommodate the crowds from Western Washington year after year.

I was at the Puyallup Fair too on Sunday! I'm from Kirkland, so I love looking at all your Seattle photos, but I go to college in Tacoma which is nice and close to the fair. I didn't mind the drizzle...we just spent more of our time undercover in the barns or hobby hall :) And the rain let up just long enough to stand in line for a baker's dozen of Fair Scones!

Aubrey, Thanks so much. I hope you have fun when you go. It's so huge, I never did find the animals, although the kids did and told me about the cute pigs! Enjoy!

Heather, Thank you for your kind comments! We probably passed each other at some point. That place is so ginormous. I have more photos of the fair up at my Flickr site (a link is in the sidebar on the right. Best to you in your classes in Tacoma. I'm taking this year off and it feels weird to NOT be studying.
