Shopping is in full swing below Seattle's downtown skyline. The city's variety of eras of architecture often combine in view to create wonderful patterns and abstractions. Here I'm guessing it's stripes from the 60s and 80s, thin and thick that caught my eye. Because of the high contrast, this color shot comes off like a black and white from a distance.

Fantastic. I thought it was black and white, till you said differently. But, can see a bit of color.

Very nice construction in your picture to make an abstract view like this.

Again, good eye, Kim. You make me want to re-examine my 'shooting eye'. Will have to see just what it is I am looking out when I am out there...
Thanks,
Wayne

Lovely shot.

I used to work in the vertical striped building. Floor 29 with a great view of the Space Needle, the Four Seasons Hotel, and the Seattle Public Library. I'd sit at my desk and watch them hang the Christmas tree at the Needle...or paint it orange...or green...Put the finishing details on the library (hanging the glass on the angled walls was interesting to watch.)

I loved this city before you...now I love watching how it unfolds before your lense. Thank you!

Mari-Nanci, thank you!

Château-G, Merci! Je suis un grand fan de vos photos et suis tombé amoureux de votre ville par eux.

Wayne, your gracious and thoughtful comments are always such a treat. Thank you.

Seattle Tall Poppy, ah the view sounds wonderful from your old office. What fun to watch daily life from such heights. This is actually my second go-round living in Seattle, so my love of it may predate yours ;^). I lived here in my college days, but had no camera then. It is an easy place to love, isn't it. Seems made for the camera. I'm glad you visited because it reminds me to link to your fun sight.
