Happy Couple

Happy Couple

Seen in a split second, and not the best capture in the rush to get the shot, but I couldn't resist their smiles. This couple was crossing a downtown street hand in hand, enjoying an animated conversation. Spring is in the air in Seattle today, so here's to seeing more couples sharing happy moments like this. They certainly brought a smile to my face. Hope you are enjoying your Saturday!

I love these "snap"shots. I've become adept at what I call "belly shots," where I just walk around looking touristy with my camera around my neck, pretending I'm not the least bit interested in my subject, with camera at belly level I furtively press the shutter with my thumb... :<)

It's just lovely. You captured the moment - that look she is giving him. A happy couple indeed.

So that's what people look like? It'a a precious moment captured, never to be repeated. Now all I have to do is find some that won't run away from the camera. It's a very happy scene, beautifully taken.

Well I would say you captured "the" moment.

Bibi, Your clandestine shooting method sounds awesome, and I've very much admired your photog skills, so knowing this, I'm doubly impressed.
I work very, very quickly and unobtrusively, but always eye to the viewfinder.

Jilly, Chuck, Marcel, MB, Maya, Babooshka, Abe, Zsolt, Hey guys, thank you all so much! I'm glad you liked the shot.

Jim, You are too funny! What a hoot.

Rachel Sarah, Well, thank you so much for linking to SDP. I visited your blogs and realize we have Earl in common, as well as some fave Seattle hangouts. Hope you enjoy the photos.

Anon, These things do happen! Someone else mentioned that on my Flickr page, and it does appear to be him from photos on the KOMO site. I don't have a TV, and my mom watches another channel for news, so I've never seen or heard of him before. They are certainly an attractive pair, so it doesn't surprise me he does his job in front of a camera. You just never know the stories behind folks who happen into street photos. I once photographed a runner out for his evening exercise and someone commented on the photo that it was one of the Nordstrom family of Seattle retail fame. It's a small town that way.
