Hey Kids, What Time Is It?

Market Time

Yesterday's CDPB Theme Day took us to small corner markets, and I thought we'd start out this first week in June at Pike Place Public Market before the huge influx of summer visitors is here. That 1927 vintage clock could be saying to the children here, "Only two more weeks until school's out and summer's here!" We moms are gearing up for that major shift in pace when the daylight lasts from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM and everyone makes the most of the glorious summer months.

Hmm ... I've seen this clock somewhere before :) Have a great week, Kim. I do hope summer arrives before July 5th!

Nice clock! Very colourful.

Thanks for your kind words in your comment today. It is much appreciated. I did get inspired when I went to town. At last I've got some photos I like :)

Great colors and neon. I keep wondering what the letters say. (I so wish I was more familiar with Seattle).

I like how you framed this with part of the public market sign peeking out.

Would you believe that I have never been to Seattle (but I am planning to one day) but knew immediately, with just that partial view, where this clock was? It is so iconic of your city (among other things).

Kim, love the clock photo! I love the Public Market though have only been there a couple times. Of course we get to see the 'fish toss' lots of times on TV.

Brilliant, vivacious red in this. What a wonderful pic.

Our kids are in the very last week of school. The last full day was yesterday so summer is upon us here.

Terribly clever...

It always amazed me that the summer days were so long...guess it makes up for the fall/winter months.

Kids here got out of school last week. Of course, they start early August, too.

I like this shot. . .love PPPM. . . .

In my day, I would have answered, "It's Howdy Doody Time"!

I'm looking forward to seeing this clock in person very soon.
