The lighted symbol of Seattle at 45 has only about a half life of the light industry brick building pictured on this summer evening.

Nice contrast of colors and architectural style

Forty-five? Is that its age now? I remember when it first opened. I was working for NCR in 1963 and they wanted to have some special exhibits made for an industrial convention in Seattle. I remember working on sketches for that event but never did get to see the total exhibit. Time really flies.

This is a memorable photograph. It looks like a golden pin or piece of jewelry.

Love the criscrossing of the lines here and the whole photo! Could be a postcard! (A very GOOD postcard; meant that as a compliment!)

I like those vertical lines. It looks like it has sprung full-form from the roof of that building on the right. Great ambiance all around.

The lighting in the sky is the perfect backdrop for the other elements. I like the lighting or reflection in the upper left window too. I look forward to seeing your posts.

Kim, your eye for delightful compositions has proven itself once again. This is a very fine image!

What Louis said! Beautiful. My, I remember when it was built--the year I graduated from high school...

The composition is marvellous. The golden tones bouncing off the brickwork are wonderful too. I love to see landmarks shown from a locals view, not the toursit guide. Really puts things into perspective.

Kim, this such a luscious photo. It really is a feast for the eye with the contrast in light and dark, old and new, shiny and matte.... WOW!
