Nowhere Fast

A jet black sports car is just making the lights, speeding toward what seems like a barricaded route in the Cascade neighborhood. That's Key Arena off in the distance, and if you were trying to get there, this would definately be a case of "I know where you want to go, but you can't get there from here." The concrete divide is actually the median of Aurora Avenue/Hwy 99, a fast moving, not so pretty north/south main artery through Seattle.

Always interesting to see the behind-the-scenes "not so pretty" parts of cities.

I like the cut-off street light and car in this. It feels immediate and hurried -- like when you are speeding through street trying to get somewhere. Nice use of the camera for getting the bigger point across!

Last time I was in seattle I walked around this afternoon one afternoon in between things. Had that feeling of I know where I want to go but can't get there :) Being on foot I eventually did. Cool area.
