Sabotage

I walk around Green Lake several times a week. So, why do I often park near here? ;^) Actually I have yet to go in. My walking routine is rewarded strictly by tranquil sounds of background traffic, lapping water, rustling trees, water fowl, kids playing, runner's feet on gravel, bladers and cyclist's wheels against pavement (I don't take the iPod). I usually have camera in hand but don't shoot much, mostly just take in the scenes, colors and beauty as I pass by. Sometimes I watch the people on the trail as I walk, and I recognize some regulars who are there the times that I am (like this skater I showed you last year who does 6 or 7 laps while I walk one!). We nod at each other in passing. On this particular day I glimpsed a famous neighbor walking with spouse in the opposite direction, unnoticed and unmolested by anyone, getting to have a normal day in the sun like the rest of us. Mostly I just enjoy being with my thoughts, having the personal space. I've heard that the confections at Chocolati are wonderful, though.

Great shot, Kim! I love walking around Green Lake too. it's definitely a time to relax and just take in the views and people. So, who was the famous neighbor? ;-)

Kim, you realize chocolate is packed with more antioxidants than blueberries, broccoli, and red wine, combined! (Blech!) If you value your health, you must force yourself to have a dose of rich dark chocolate every day. Hold your nose if you have to in order to endure the medicine, but do it none the less.

Yes, Kim, we must all toughen up and take our chocolate medicine! :-) (I was so happy when I found out dark chocolate was a health food. Bring on the health, I say!)

I love this picture. Feel like I"m right there with you.

Was it Frasier Crane? No, he's not married. Or is he, I didn't watch the show that often.

Ohh walks are good for the soul and Chocolates are yes indeed too.
Yes healthy...not only because of the cocoa contained on it ....but our soul at least mine really needs a weekly small doss to survive...long walks and a small piece of the dark delight even better!

I am going to play my soundtrack of Chocolat and close my eyes and imagine just how lovely that shop smells when you walk in the door. Ahhhhhh. Go on in Kim, one little visit can't hurt.

Sorry gang, I passed her by again today and just kept marching to the car. I think the fact that I have an engagement right after my walk time keeps me thinking I don't have time to explore it. Perhaps when the cold weather hits in November I will venture in BEFORE my walk. Right now I indulge in one little segment of a Trader Joe's 73% dark bar with my after dinner coffee (they stopped carrying Scharfinberger. . .sob, bring back the Mocha!)
