Street Lamp Detail Abstract

It is gray and overcast and, although warmer, not warm. We were looking for a bit of light on Madison and ended up noticing design details of the downtown lamposts. Thought you might like a midweek abstract of sorts.

Interesting! I seem to have a time photographing those types of things. I get too much background or noise or something. I keep trying though. MB

I like it. This dull gray weather is a challenge for me so your nifty ideas help give me a new perspective. Thanks Kim

Creativity on a gray day! I keep waiting for the sun...maybe I need to buy a light box! It would be cool to get all of the Northwest daily photo bloggers together this summer. Have a great weekend.

Very much! You have quite an eye...but it's always interesting to see what you notice when you really start looking, isn't it? I don't think we do that enough. We tend to consider everything familiar, and yet...there are things we never knew about our own stomping ground.

Lovely artistic detail you've found in these often ignored street lamps and such that we pass daily and hardly notice.

Great job you do, Kim, covering this great city on your blog. Especially appreciate your talent for taking marvelous pictures of people on the streets in their everyday routine.

Many thanks!
