This is NOT Paris :-)

Yes, that is Cafe Ladro in the background, so you are surely in Seattle and not the 9e. I thought I would treat regular City Daily Photo Blog readers who visit Paris Daily Photo to a photo of someone they will recognize from Eric's picnic photos and comments box. Michael was visiting on holiday and we got to meet for lunch and a photowalk on Capitol Hill. I hope to feature a few of his local shots for you soon. Today is apparently Michael's 15 min of fame day in the blogosphere, as I just went to Eric's site to get a link address and see that his shot today is dedicated to Michael as well! The vibes are working, but apparently Seattle sent all its snow and cold air to Paris with Michael when he left.

One of the nicest things all of us in the CDPB community have remarked on is getting to meet each other in our travels near and far. Here is my "in person" list of of special folks I've met so far through Seattle Daily Photo: Michael, Katie, Meead, Kateny, Benjamin, and near miss Bob. . .sigh. Can you believe my fellow Seattlist, Chuck, and I have yet to meet? Have to rectify that soon! And, I'll be in SoCal at the end of the month and maybe get to see some CDPB folks there, too. It's a small world, much more fun than any Disney ride ;^).

What a great portrait, Kim. You really capture his essence. And I love that you've met some of the other bloggers in person.

What a great portrait, Kim. You are so right, it's so great we get to meet fellow CDPB bloggers in person. Like you, I've not yet met bloggers who are relatively local - like Nathalie in Avignon and Angela in Nice and Valbonne, yet I've had wonderful times meeting the divine Sally from Sydney and the charming Benauts from Adelaide. And I had the wonderful pleasure of meeting Fabrizio when I went to Turin.

Enjoy your time with Michael and looking forward to some of his shots.

Wow! Did I shave that day? And what version of Photoshop are you using to get rid of the wrinkles?

I'm truly honoured to have this 15 minutes, but better yet, to have had the chance to have spent some real quality time with you. I must say, I haven't met a blogger from the CDP community yet that I didn't like. What a great group of people.

Thanks again!

One of the immense pleasures that Photo blogging has bestowed on us all, is to meet our fellow bloggers by travelling away from home, OR, have Michael pay us a visit.
Michael is the happy wanderer, the glue that cements us all together.
Michael is not just the guardian angel of us all, he is also the holy ghost as he pops in to Rio, to Cheltenham, to Adelaide.
Michael is capable of sitting in a rickshaw in Shanghai and making someone laugh in Avignon.
He really is a guardian with wings.

Where would we all be without him, his wit, his smile and his generosity ?

Thanks Kim, for keeping us up to date.
And by the way, This is NOT Paris ??
Paris has crazy traffic lights !!

- I passed this way and I was impressed with its blog, its art in a look that if it shows in photos that count estórias and if they transform into a painting of life, congratulations and success…
- A great one I hug of Brazil

Kim what a wonderful photo. You're so good with portraits. Salut Michael -- how fun to see you in Seattle! Look like you're having a great time; and with Kim I'm sure you were! Hope you're not freezing back in Paris - at least the cold in Seattle over the holidays got you prepared. See you Paris in October!

Gosh, can't believe you haven't met Chuck yet. Save him for when I come over end of June, and then we'll all meet.

I agree that the city daily photo blogging group is a fun one, and I have "met" some nice people, too, although not yet face-to-face.

This is a fabulous portrait Kim. That's all I can say!

No wonder Michael has such a found memory of the day he spent with you in Seattle;-)

The "two ships passing in the night" syndrome must be rectified in the near future :)

Enjoy the hopefully dry and warmer weather in SoCal!

Yes Chuck, I can't believe the two of you have not met yet. Both you and Kim are very talented and deserve to know each other! Let's us in on it when it happens!

I'm glad Michael co-opted this photo, Kim. It was a wise choice. Meeting other bloggers is one of the finest pleasures of this blogging thing! I hope you and I will meet when you come to so-Cal. Please let me know and I'll gather up the locals.

I would love to meet you (and Chuck too)! I will be unemployed in about a week, so will have more time on my hands. We should plan something!
