Okay, I'll Stop Whining Now

So after the dreariness of the week and our drenching the day before, yesterday decided to be warmer and spring-like, and today followed suit. I took a two hour photowalk in the Hawthorne neighborhood. The birds were singing, neighbors were chatting as they gardened, cats greeted me on the sidewalk, and the spice of plum blossoms and other spring flowers was on the breeze. I got some lovely territorial views from streets at the tops of hills and enjoyed seeing all the mix of architecture and neatly kept yards. So, here they are, spring blossoms in the sunshine, just for you.

Yep, I do think spring may have actually arrived for real ... finally. I've spent the last two days enjoying warmer weather and sun at the market. Sunday I plan to join one of my scooter groups on a group ride to take advantage of what appears to be "spring". Hooray! We're all more than ready!!

Plum blossoms are simply gorgeous!
It sounds like you had a lovely walk. Unfortunately, experiencing any type of blossoms is a long way off for Juneau. We still have more than a foot of snow on the ground. In fact, we received more snow this morning, but then it turned to rain. So I guess in some ways Juneau is experiencing spring. It's warming up.

I showed my husband and kiddos your photo. My daughter:"Oh, mamma their beautiful. I wonder what they smell like." My son: "I wonder how long before they have plums?" My daughter went directly to Alaska Airlines website to check out ticket prices.:)

I told Marcel that you asked about him. Did you see the dock he built?

It is beautiful. I wish it was warmer here. Freezing yesterday. Ice on windshields.

The title and photo brought a smile to my face, Kim. And your sensory-packed description of your walk was wonderful. I imagine you slept peacefully last night.

Beautiful! I'm going to see the Cherry blossoms in D.C. today, though I doubt I'll get a shot as nice as this!

Gorgeous and well deserved! We're having a little rain today but maybe it will clear later.
