Can you believe it is 95F in Seattle? Our warmest time of the day comes right at dinner time, so you can bet a lot of suppers are being enjoyed outdoors in the breeze or at casual restaurants open to the outdoors. Here is my 3rd iPhone Wednesday shot for you in which I not only take the photo with the iPhone camera but also edit it using iPhone apps. For this I used Dark Room and then combined two shots using Juxtaposer (and not very well, but it was fun and took some time, so I'm throwing it out there at ya :-). And click this link to More Seattle Stuff cuz I've ordered up a virtual veggie burger and cool one for you, too, if you'd care to join me at the outdoor table. Keep cool!

That is very hard to believe - way hotter than here, which usually is an oven in mid-summer. It's actually been cooler than usual for some time but I'm not complaining.

Anyway, I like what you're doing with the iPhone. The camera on my second generation iPhone is so bad I never bother to use it. Maybe if I think of it as something like a Holga I get something interesting.

Not bad. I've never played with an iPhone, but I wouldn't have expected photos to look as good as the ones you've posted so far.

Great, Kim! I'll have to check out those apps. Bet that Hefeweizen tasted and felt good!!!

I saw somewhere else that it hit 100 in Seattle today. You poor dears. I have spent every summer of my life dealing with temperates between 90 and 110 and winters dealing with snow measured in feet. Last winter Seattle shut down for two or three days over a few inches of snow. We all laughed. Anyway, I'm enjoying iPhone Wednesdays - it's giving me ideas.

Love this shot. That beer looks frosty and cold. Yummm. The colors are punchy and appealing here, really nicely balanced. It's been steamy during the day in Brattleboro, soaking rains at night. These IPhone shots are so far beyond what I would have expected.

Thanks guys. I was lucky the interior shot was as sharp as it was. Apple would make a killing if they put a decent camera in the phone (a la Nokia/Carl Zeiss quality). But apps abound. I hope some of you will start trying this out and posting your results. One of our CDPBlogging friends in Utah has always posted from his mobile device and that was part of the inspiration to try this a number of months ago.

So the update is it was officially 103F. And Winnie, it was not a few inches snow last winter, although a few inches does usually shut the city down :-). Here on the west coast we "go to the snow" for recreation and it is usually within a couple hours drive from the beach or the desert. Our mountains are spectacular out here. We also have fire and earthquake big time, so we are not pikers to be sniveled at by folks with extremes in their areas too :-). Record snowfall in December, record heat in July. . .was there a sun flare or something? :-)
