They are on the march! Be on the lookout for them, because they are everywhere you turn these days. Seattle's Woodland Park Zoo is celebrating its recent opening of a penguin exhibit and all sorts of local artists and businesses are in on the fun.
" In celebration of community art and inspired by Woodland Park Zoo’s all new Humboldt penguin exhibit, Woodland Park Zoo and The Greenwood Collective joined forces to spread art and conservation awareness throughout Seattle. Woodland Park Zoo provided artists, amateur and professionals alike, with 22-inch fabricated penguins. The Greenwood Collective managed artist submissions, providing workshops, materials and artist guidance for this project." All the penguins were exhibited at Seattle Center in June and now can be seen at many locations around town. I spotted this one with hand knit hat, jacket made from map pieces in the shape of feathers, and little green suitcase in front of Snoose Junction, a popular pizzeria on NW Market Street.

Everyone loves Penguins. What a fun thing going on in Seattle. I hope you find some more and share with us. MB
I love that little guy with his green suitcase (or is that his lunchbox?) perched on his coordinated chair.
Cute !;-) I like it. Thanks for sharing.
Very cute!
Oh, Kim, I just fell a bit in love! How dapper this little cutie is. But then, all penguins are adorable!
Love it! I've always wondered what penguins wear when they take off their dinner jackets.
Hi Kim! I'll have to show my son this post. He LOVES penguins!
Sure was a treat meeting you at Cafe Revo today!
Looking forward to seeing the photos.
Until we meet again!

So cute; my husband collects penguins. There's a terrific Penguin rookery in southern Victoria you can visit, and watch thousands of them return at dusk each night.
All the best from me at Sydney Daily Photo. I’m so busy with a new job I hardly have time to post, much less comment these days!
Oh, do take a look at http://londondailyphoto.blogspot.com/ for Ham's tip of the hat to this photo, very nice indeed. Would like you to know that in my comment to his quite nice Penguin photo of a few days back, I'd sent along a link to this FAB photo.
Hi, Kim! I 'shot' a penguin yesterday at the PCC in Fremont---he was all sequined and very cute.
Just stopping by to say hi. Great photos. Love the "Just a Taste" post. ~Cindy
That is a great picture of a darling penguin!
