iPhone Wednesday #4: Drinkin' With the Devil #2

iPhone Wednesday #4: Drinkin' With the Devil #2

Art is where you find it in Seattle. Mine happened to be when I ordered an espresso drink from Cuban inspired El Diablo Coffee Co. on Queen Anne Hill. I looked into the cup to see an incredible little two horned devil grinning at me (to see that shot check my More Seattle Stuff page). The barissta dude looked pleased when he saw me instantly grab a shot of it when I picked it up. The shot you see here was taken after I'd had a sip and set the cup down on the counter I was sitting at, which was also a work of art. For this 4th iPhone Wednesday I took the shot and edited it with applications right on the iPhone. Now I've got an ear worm going so I'll pass it on to you, "shake it like a Polaroid picture. . .hey ya. . . " :-) To see 2008's Drinking With the Devil #1, go here.

How amazing! The foam in your espresso looks like a mirror reflection of the devil! This is a fabulous shot.

What fun! I love the swirls on the glass of the cup and how they pick up the forms on the colorful table--but I love the whole photo--really enjoy seeing how the devil has morphed from the first pristine moment (if the devil may be pristine).

Great image, phone cam or not. It might be dangerous to let this pass your lips.

I have an iPhone 3G and the photos it produces have always seemed so bad that I never use the camera any more. Maybe I should reconsider.

Great shot, especially for the equipment. Not sure about supping with the devil with a long spoon though.

The barista that made that is really talented! And of course your pairing with the table top makes this all the more interesting. Nice, Kim.

Wow, the foam on the coffee is amazing. It does look like El Diablo on the table.

Oh, this looks sooo familiar...remember visiting El Diablo with you! I may return and get one of their cool mugs, with or without the coffee.

Great photo.

HA! I love this shot Kim. I am not a "cell phone girl" at all but had to get a new one. I am a clutz and was trying to figure out how to turn the damn thing off and took a photo of my foot. I didn't even know it had a camera for Pete sakes!!!

Thanks to one and all, and LOL V.!
Carolyn, thanks for the good wishes. Life is just very good and very full the last few weeks and its all caught up with me: new job, my child off to Europe and back, big house projects, two non-stop weekends of photo seminars/shoots, a photo contest to judge, hundreds of my own photos to process and upload, internet connectivity seemingly controlled by poltergeists, two evening concerts in two weeks time, and a brain that seems to drift off to sleep at 9 PM when I'm home. I'll catch up soon! Thanks for noticing. Fall should be a lot more sane. I hope.
