Not so crowded night scene in the Westlake Center Station where shoppers and commuters can access buses and the new light rail system.Seattle's downtown underground bus tunnel system makes getting around easy.

I used the tunnel for the first time on my last visit. It's interesting having trains and buses using the same roadway.

Speaking as someone who needs things to be dead simple in order to figure them out, I haven't had much luck making sense of Seattle's transit system. It seems to be very comprehensive but almost everything about it confuses me.

I, too, find it a bit disconcerting that Light Rail and the busses use the same roadway. I hope the signal lights are well coordinated. I'd hate to think what might happen should a train and bus collide.

Nice image in BW, Kim. Hope you had a good Christmas in SoCal. Happy New Year to you and your family!
