Snoqualmie Falls

We took a short drive over Lake Washington on the I-90 floating bridge and out to Snoqualmie where these majestic falls plunge 268 feet and fill the air with mist. Popular Salish Lodge sits at the top of the falls and offers first rate accommodations and fine dining. The falls are one of the most visited sites in all of Washington, made even more famous during the early 1990's television drama "Twin Peaks." Under the watchful gaze of Mount Si and only 30 minutes or so drive east of Seattle, these are a must see when you visit the Pacific Northwest. You can see other shots of the falls and resort at More Seattle Stuff.

Beautiful. I used to go there a lot, but haven't in the past 15 years. Have to remind myself to stop by there when I'm on my next visit to the US. Thanks for the whiff of misty breeze!

Ah, one of my favorite places! Great shot! Another blogger got some shots when it was frozen and it was gorgeous then, too! We do live in a beautiful part of the world!!

Enjoy!

The falls were pretty amazing a few weeks ago when it was so cold. No, I didn't go, but I should have -:)

Gorgeous photo -- and wonderful memories. My hubby and I visited this spot the day he proposed to me. He had planned to propose here but chickened out and proposed later in the day on our living room couch at our apt in Wallingford. I always love reading your blog and remembering our years in Seattle. Thanks for keeping it up!
