Four Towers

Four Towers

As promised yesterday, here is the view further south along the shore of the Westlake neighborhood and the east side of Queen Anne Hill. There are three prominant broadcast towers on the hill and I think you recognize the fourth tower on the left :-). The lighted outline of the houseboat/floating home used for the film Sleepless in Seattle is in the shot below to help you locate it in this shot. This shot is straight out of the camera with a 50mm 1.2 lens that seems to always catch awesome light and color for me.  Ooops, I mispoke, this was actually a 24-70mm lens.

I love the way the Space Needle glows in the dark. I jealous of your night photos.

Thanks Carolyn. I look forward to more of yours, especially the lighted "necklace" around Lake Merritt!

This view should be on a postcard. Stunning and peaceful. Just what I needed to see this Sunday. You seem to know so much about religion (read your comment on Veroinca's Veil on Hilda's My Manila). If you ever stop by my blog, do so on a Sunday as that is the day I post "Sacred Sunday" shots. Father Adam on Monastery Daily Photo has some great posts related to religion, too. To many to mention. I'm sure you've seen them anyway. Love, love, love your photos. Makes me want to come visit Seattle RIGHT NOW!

My sister is waking up with this view. Took in a jazz club in the city celebrating a B-day! Drove up from Portland, OR.

I never get tired of night shots of Seattle. Even though I grew up there and live only an hour away, I think it's a beautiful city, traffic and all.

Kim, there is nothing like the skyline of Seattle specially the night-time view. I suppose others say that about their hometown but since Seattle is mine--well I can say it too. MB

I am so drawn to nightime shots especially ones with water reflections.
