Here is a double bridge view for you of the Fremont draw bridge framed in the arch of the much taller and longer Aurora Bridge. Both of them span the area near where the Ship Canal connecting Puget Sound with Lake Union and Lake Washington enters Lake Union. Last week I showed you a sunset silhouette view of the Aurora Bridge from a lower and closer vantage point. Little Fremont Bridge is one of the busiest in the nation, accommodating a lot of boat traffic and connecting the Fremont district with the Queen Anne and Westlake neighborhoods. For wonderful bridge views from other cities, visit Louis la Vache's San Francisco Bay Daily Photo for a complete list of links.

Excellent, Kim! A "twofer"!
«Louis» has posted the link!
Perfect shot, Kim. You know your city well. MB
Indeed, a "twofer" as Louis says! And very atmospheric ~ lovely, Kim.
Happy Sunday Kim!
Lovely saturated shot, the bridge provides a perfect framing for the second helping!
What a beautifully composed, richly detailed image.
simply beautiful!
Marvelous shot! Two bridges ib one plus an interesting look at the harbour!

Nice! Next week you have to 'shoot' for three.
Two for one! We have a plethora of fine arches to choose from, don't we?
Beautiful shot! I used to live in Eastlake and always loved that view.
Kim, this is very beautiful, -quite a contrast from our bridges in NJ (ugh...)
a most interesting shot! There is quite a lot going on here.
Real, non-tourist Seattle. No go over a bit and bring in the troll.
Looks like one really amazing view! Supershot!
Pixellicious Photos
The blue drawbridge is a a real looker! You've given me a goal to cross over as many of these as I can next time I'm up there.
Thanks to each of you for coming by and leaving such kind (and funny!) comments.
@Anonymous: Is that you, Rick? Now John Gorka's tune "I'm from New Jersey, we don't expect much. . ." is going through my brain.
@ Tash, well, that will be quite a project. I think Chuck or/and I will have to help you out on that fun adventure!
@ Chuck, we certainly do, Ollie!
@ Bob, he's so cliche I hardly get by to shoot him anymore. Will have to come up with a new perspective or something before I publish another shot of him. . .he's not quite as versatile as your arch, being such a contained space and all! ;^).
Thanks again to each of you!
I think I got a shot of this bridge when I was in Seattle earlier this month.
Can you see it from the gas works park?
This is a nice look at it, in any case!
Thanks Halcyon. Gas Works is a bit further north of this shot. You definately see the Aurora Bridge from GWP, but I'm not sure if the Fremont Bridge shows above the buildings from that vantage point. I took this from up on Capitol Hill.
Halcyon, here is the view of this bridge from Gas Works. Does it look like your photo?
