Calder's "Eagle" is looking out over Alki point in West Seattle on a clear morning. This huge sculpture is the centerpiece of the Olympic Sculpture Park on the Elliott Bay waterfront.

Beautiful - love your blog!
Beautiful composition, I like it!
Have a nice Sunday.
Good composition, and thank you, since when I saw this in person, I couldn't figure out which end was which. You can tell I'm not good at interpreting abstract art.... Here it looks like Sam the eagle from Sesame Street, only red.
Nice. I visited this park two weeks ago. it reminds me to post a picture of Calder's Stegasaurus from Hartford on my own blog.
Beautiful picture, Kim! Red and blue, nice contrast. Greetings from Peter
Definitely a statement piece. Commanding composition.
This is a fabulous shot Kim. Seattle needs to pay you big bucks for this one.

I agree with Virginia - the composition is a winner here.
