Keeping Us Moving

Seattle Police officers and parking personnel are often stationed outside parking garage exits to facilitate exiting cars and keep downtown traffic flowing smoothly during rush hour and special events. This officer was keeping warm and visible in his winter wear.

What a congenial looking fellow.
I find this quite interesting when I visit Seattle. This would never happen in a million years in Vancouver and we have ridiculous downtown rush hour traffic.
Wannabe 'reserve' cops direct traffic at big events but that's about it for the police getting involved in non-emergency traffic control.
