I heard distant voices and laughter down the street and around the corner. It was 1:30 AM and the evening's snowfall was just starting to turn into rain, and I went outside to investigate what was happening. A block and a half away I saw this couple on the sidewalk building a snowman before the snow was all gone. You've gotta admit, Seattlites are a fun bunch of people :-).

What a great time to build a snowman? No foolish comments! Would you show us the completed work?

I would also like to see the completed snowman! Nothing wrong with having some fun. :)

Fabulous fun! The last time we had snow here, schools closed and there were snowmen with lots of pinestraw everywhere in the city!

Great story and photos!

They must have been pretty loud to have heard them from a block away. I guess they couldn't resist taking advantage of our rare snowfall and letting it bring out the kid in them.

Glad you got out to play before it all washed away.

We ALL need to take more time to build snowmen, or do what makes us happy.
