Lunar New Year

Lunar New Year

Seattle's International District hosted festivities on Saturday including a lion and dragon dance under the Chinese gate and a children's costume parade. You can see the dragon has climbed the utility pole and won't come down :-) (there are several of these imposing red dragons throughout the International District). The year 4709 begins tomorrow, opening the year of the rabbit. Wishing you love and luck in what I hope is a very happy New Year for everyone.

It'll be a madhouse down there this week. Rabbits everywhere!

The year of the rabbit? I did not know but am particularly fond of them...

The colors and focus in your photo are wonderful... How fun would it be to be there!

Skilled use of DOF. The I. D. gave me my only opportunity to eat geoduck, not just stare at it in the market. I passed.
