Porthole on the Red Floor

I love looking down hallways on the 3rd floor of Seattle's Central Library. All the walls, floors and ceilings are high gloss red. . .except that pink wall on the right. It has a porthole window which overlooks the bright banana-slug-yellow escalator.

I visited Seattle (and the library) for the first time this past September. Lucky Seattle to have such a fantastic library. I also loved the red floor.

Wow, this is BEYOND cool! Love the glossy red, though it is kind of creepy. It would be cool to visit. :)

Wow, what a shot of red and shine and reflections and movement. Wonderful!

I love the new-look blog Kim. So easy to find one's way around and so fresh and crisp. I think you have simply changed the blogger template. Is that right? Really like it.

Love you Gasworks header, Kim -:)

Nice library image ... artful with the person striding across the center distance ... very well timed.

Thanks guys! Chuck, you recognized it :-). And yes Jilly, I changed templates and customized some of the features and made a new header photo. Thank you for the positive feedback. I did it in response to a visitor letting me know he was having trouble reading the typeface. Please do let me know if this is more readable for you all, and if the page loads quickly enough for you and fits your computer screen. Feedback helps so much, and I can tweak anything that has a bug or is annoying to you.
Thanks for coming and visiting so often my blog friends!

Love that little green exit sign at the end of the hall. For those of us who might get disoriented.
