Since multiple readers mistook the garment in yesterday's photo to be a skirt, I thought I'd post a few shots I've taken of wearers of Utilikilts, a contemporary take on the traditional tartan kilts of Scottish Highlands origin. These originated here in Seattle and are made to be worn as work clothes and everyday casual dress by folks who enjoy the freedom they offer. :-)

You really have gathered quite a few shots of men in kilts. The fashion hasn't hit our streets yet...at least not that I've noticed...and they'd be hard to miss.

Ditto what Brattcat said! I haven't seen them strolling around in the Twin Cities yet either...

You're a trend spotter at heart, aren't you Kim? hehe. You will feel at home on St.-Denis Street in Montreal. We do guys in kilts too!

Have a happy Monday!

Happy Anniversary! You are a bright spot in this Daily Photo community! I know I'm back in the NW when I see a Utilikilt out and about. Congrats from Port Angeles Daily Photo!

These guys in kilts look great. Can't wait for the fashion to catch on everywhere.

I've been rockin' my Utilikilt for a little over a year now up here in dusty ol' Calgary. I still get strange looks up here...but I fit right in in Seattle! :)
