Bald Eagle on the Wing

Happy Independence Day to those in the USA. Hope everyone has a great 4th of July celebration. Here in Seattle it promises to be a perfect day with 80 F temps for outdoor fun and clear skies for those fireworks displays tonight. The Bald Eagle, symbol of the nation, recently made it off the Endangered Species List. They are a common sight soaring above the city or nesting on shore or diving into Puget Sound. I saw this one flying over the Magnolia neighborhood.

    Aren't we lucky to live where we do! this is a great photo! Sometimes I get to see them on Marine drive. It is always a thrill.
