Add a little snow and it must be Christmastime. . . How apropos that snow should take us unawares while we were up just north east of Seattle at a "cut your own" tree farm. It was a festive and crowded atmosphere with smiles all around, hot cider and cocoa in the office, and helpful people working hard in the cold to make a nice experience for people from communities all around. We even caught some big fat fluffy flakes on our tongues. Wishing you all a wonderful Sunday!
looks good!
ReplyDeleteVery seasonal and almost Norman Rockwellish. All you need is a little boy pulling a tree on a Red Ryder wagon:)
ReplyDeleteBrrrrr! I don't know how I'm going to make it up there in the cold.....
ReplyDeleteThis is a delightful photo, almost impressionistic caused by the way you caught the flakes.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot of a great Holiday Season activity. We always went out and cut ours, while our family was at home. :-) Great memories.
ReplyDeleteGreat capture of the snow tooo!

j'aime beaucoup cette photo, elle est tres belle.
ReplyDeleteI really like this picture, it is very beautiful.
Neva, Hey, thanks!
ReplyDeleteClueless, Nice thought!
Geology Chick, You are going to do just fine. . .it's kind of magical, and it usually doesn't last more than a day or three in this area when it happens. Sometimes it snows once a year, other years 3 to 5 times. The kids get snow days from school. . .its beautiful, too!
Kate, Thanks. I was amazed that the lens captured exactly what I saw.
Mari-Nancy, We used to cut our own before we had kids. Then it was too far to drive to the mountains for a tree, so the tradition of dad and kids going to a city charity tree lot started. Now we are back full circle to driving to the country together. Ah, the cycles of family life!
Olivier, Merci! C'était si beau ce jour-là! Je pense Seattle et Evry ont le temps semblable. Avez-vous eu une neige encore ?
