I'm not in Seattle at present but visiting another beautiful, rainy Pacific Northwest city for the weekend. Can you guess from this street fixture where in the world Kimmie could be today? I'll be meeting another City Daily Photo Blogger tomorrow for a photowalk, and that will be fun!

  1. This is probably the most interesting manhole cover I have ever seen — I love it!

Unfortunately, I cannot even begin to guess where you are. But I hope you and the other CDP blogger enjoy your day tomorrow!

  3. Hi.
Around the world i guess there is allot of different manhole covers, like the one you took allot of them is a piece of art.
In my city (bergen) we also have some nice covers.

  4. I'll bet you're in Portland, since there are a lot of brick buildings and sidewalks there...and I'll bet you're meeting Meead from Iran!

Any prize for me, or just glory? :<)

  6. Are you in Vancouver? Vancouver is so cool, I could see it having aesthetically pleasing manhole covers like this. But then again, Portland is a pretty arty town, too. Where are you, Kimmie!?!?!?

  7. Very pretty & interesting - I love manhole shots. I recall another impressive cover of Kanalizacia in Beograd by bibi - some time in May (before I started PVDP). I'll guess Portland/Meead also.

  11. It is a classy place wherever you are! That is not only functional but artistic. The first and last time I was moved to take a photo of a manhole cover was in Rome, Italy when it still had leftover confetti on it from a parade the day before :) This is lovely!!

  12. What a lovely find! Plus, a reminder to look down...and up! I think we spend so much time looking just straight out at our own level, we forget there are others. Thanks for sharing.
