We have teeth but cannot bite,
See our glowing candle light.
We are Jack O'Lanterns,

That's a little song I think a group of my friends and I made up in elementary school. Seeing this grouping of carved pumpkins on a front porch brought the memory back.

ReplyDeleteBoo hoo hoo. So much work to create this wonderful collection and yet their fate is to be squash on the compost pile. Well, at least they had their moment in the sun (and the moon).
