Walk nearly any neighborhood in Seattle this week and you will pass under pink and white blossoming arches and over fallen petals. I took this on a street in the Hawthorne Hills neighborhood. Cherry trees are at their peak, while plums are finished blooming and leaves have replaced blossoms.
The blooms are so soft and pretty against the sculptural trunk and branches. How very lovely!
ReplyDeleteI love pink snow in the spring! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's too bad these cherry blossoms don't last longer. They're so beautiful, especially against a blue sky. I love how they turn from a darker pink to almost popcorn color before they drop.
ReplyDeleteThat photo at the top of your blog is awesome!! I can't imagine where that is.
