A guest shot for you today. My daughter was walking along the shore of Puget Sound near Golden Gardens at sunset when she squatted down to get the foreground of fall leaves and plants into an iPhone shot of Puget Sound, Bainbridge Island, and the cloud-topped Olympics.

    What a beautiful shot! It looks like an illustration from a fairy tale book I loved when a wee one. Actually, I still love it.

    Actually, there are two. The Giant Golden Book of Elves and Fairies,illustrated by Garth Williams which was my great favorite for years - long after I was reading chapter books and another one which my mother had when she was a tot. It only had about four illustrations. Your daughter's picture doesn't remind me of any particular illustration - it just has a similar fariy flavor.
