a yellow cab. airport taxis in finland are yellow but they cost most then the standard ones. my first 'ride' of the theme day.
I wonder how many taxis will be yellow today? Yours certainly has a large advertising sign on the top, and is one of the brightest yellows I've ever seen. Someone staying up for a late night Kim, or has your software uploaded it for you!?
Ahhh yes....the "American Taxi" in all its glory!
Nice and crisp picture of a cab. I must admit, I like very much the idea of having them in the same brigth sunny color, it's a nice addition to the cities.
Yellow: The standard taxi color, and the classic advertising on its top...
Greetings from Chile
Hey you early birds! I posted way early because I'm 4th in the links yet in one of the later time zones. Yes, many taxis here are yellow, but there are many other colors. At my More Seattle Stuff link you can see several other Seattle taxis, even a bright orange one! The ad on top of this cab tells of Teatro ZinZanni, a cirque that is very popular with visitors.

I love the bright contrast in this photo. In Seattle I think buses are still the best way to go (for the money).
Belle photo. Les taxis jaunes americains (au debut je croyais que cela n'existais qu'a NYC)
In my city taxis are also yellow, but they don't take banners on the top. I like the effect, it has a different atmosphere.
Greetings from Perú
this remind me of "sex n the city" :D they have many funny/interesting scenes inside yellow taxis..
Curiously, although the Yellow Taxis have advertising on the top - the US hasn't gone the way of hte UK, where the whole cab can be an advert, has it?
Love your background shots in "More"
(Whoa! before I press post - I have to share my validation code that I hav to type in with all you folks...taxigf !!!)
LOL Ham!! Mine is now GINdrk...do you think that means something? If you're going to drink Gin you should take a Taxi?
i love the color - so recognizable, they have ads on top, very clever.
um...
i am checking the taxis in the photo blogs for a long time...:P
hee hee...and yellow colour is so impressive. And that ad on the top!
Here we cant see that kind of ads on the taxis.
:D
...hello from shanghai, Jing
It reminds me of the "you're fired" show (Apprentice) and the contestants go back home in a yellow cab.
Nice shot - some soft focus on the edges?
There are two classic cabs in the world I think - London Black Cabs and American Yellow taxis...
Yet - tovday we are all learning some more...
Thanks!
Good photo and I like your comment about hailing a tax in over 43 cities.
Hi Kim, sorry I'm late...Nice taxi. I like your extras too. Funny, I used to live in Berkeley too, actually Oakland close to the Rockridge station.
I'm surprised they don't have boot (trunk) advertising like ours do...but I read somewhere once that Australians are the most advertised at (in public places) people in the world - more than Americans even.
