I heard some people ask, "What is that?" I remember my mom had one in her desk drawer. They went the way of the typewriter I'm afraid, but now this one is enjoying retirement wheeling down a snow-dusted hill in the Seattle Art Museum's Olympic Sculpture Park, opening this month. The whole town is abuzz about this new outdoor art venue. Seattle SAM Seattle+Art+Museum Olympic+Sculpture+Garden Claes+Oldenburg Typewriter+Eraser Seattle+Waterfront sculpture+garden

Hey that's a great idea! I love outdoors art, it makes a city more beautiful and interesting... and that in particular is really funny, cool! :)
Very cool.
Thanks for posting on our Flickr page for the park!

Thanks for your kind comments everyone! This peice is fun and whimsical.
LavenderLady, When you come down to Seattle, I would love to meet you. My work schedule can be flexed if you come on a weekday. A walk through this waterfront park with you would be lovely. Maybe Susan of Not Strictly Seattle would be interested to come in from the Eastside for a CDP bloggers' meetup. Sound intersting?

wow, this is a great fun shot...
looking forward to your photos of the new park!
Help me, Kim, I just had to explain to my young (only by 5 years) husband what "that thing" is.... Boy, if that doesn't make me feel old..... We still have a record player and a few LPs, but he didn't know this one...
