City View From Magnolia

The Seattle city and waterfront skyline as viewed from the Magnolia neighborhood, a penninsula between Uptown and Ballard, just west of Queen Anne Hill and Interbay. This view is from the northern edge of Magnolia looking east-southeast. The tree in the far right foreground is a lovely old Madrona.

Almost a surreal look at the great city. The two building sets are an amazing contrast.

Yes, there is a very upscale suburban feeling on this end of Magnolia, contrasted with the downtown skyline's urban feel. Reminds me of some areas of the Bay Area city of Piedmont and its further-away view of San Francisco's highrises.
