Starting today from 10 AM to 7 PM and going through Sunday, the 42nd Annual Ballard Sidewalk Sale will bring Ballard merchants' wares from the shops out into the the sunny daylight. Pictured is a beautiful hand made art glass salmon for sale in front of Art By Fire glass blowing studo and gallery. Seattle's oldest and biggest neighborhood sidewalk sale kicks off the Ballard Seafood Festival this weekend. Given the variety of shops participating in the sidewalk sale and the unique finds and bargains, visiting today and tomorrow when the festival crowds haven't arrived yet will make for uncrowded strolling.

A glass fish. That looks neat. My brother-in-law would love this. He bought that singing fish they had out one year for Christmas.

What a beauty! I won't make it up for this sale, but I'd sure like to. I love fish, love Ballard, love shopping, what more can I say?

Kim, thanks so much for your visit to my site, your encouraging words and your excellent advice. I, too, have enjoyed looking at your pictures. I know I'll continue to be inspired by your great photography and unique perspective on Seattle.
