When lights are plentiful, but ladders are few, concentrating the bulbs on the trunks of trees alone can prove effective for the amateur home holiday decorator. I think these red and white bulb wrapped trees in the Blue Ridge neighborhod might be an attempt at Candy Canes. I liked the simplicity.

Very pretty.
Very nice. I grew up out there.
Thank you, Wendy!
EpiscaPA, Ooooo, lucky you! Except if you had to walk to school. . .My husband took a bike ride one day when we first moved here and ended up clear over in Blue Ridge and had to ask a guy out tending his yard how to get out of there. . .the hilly streets were confusing. We have friends on 99th and have learned to navigate the area better now.
Great shot and great idea. And it had me stumped, until I read your words. :-)
