Nutcracker Dancers Depicted

I thought visitors from other places might like to see a bit more of one neighborhood's 58 year old tradition. This year the residents of Candy Cane Lane (NE Park Road in the Ravenna neighborhood, near Ravenna and 20th Ave. NE) have a moving display of dancers from The Nutcracker gracing their village circle, and a giant Nutcracker with snapping jaws. There were many pedestrians when we visited, and many cars packed with adults and kids drove by, several smart enough to darken their headlights as they went to better enjoy the lights. It was fun to see a stretch limo try to maneuver around the circle and through the narrow lane, too. Tight fit! For more views, please visit my More Seattle Stuff page.

Nice to catch up on your Christmas decoration pictures Kim. Candy Cane Lane sounds like a great place! Now I just need to find one where I can afford to buy a home. :D
