If you are a Husky, you will recognize this emblem on Denny Hall, built in 1895, the first building erected on the University of Washington's campus. The university is thought to have one of the most beautiful campuses on the west coast. I enjoy seeing the interesting architectural details to be found in its building designs from many eras. Denny Hall will undergo an estimated 56 million dollar renovation being designed now and expected to take place from late 2009 and completed in September of 2011. This project is part of the the 10 year "restore the core" capital campaign. Please excuse the degraded image resolution I've been experiencing when resizing photos of late. j'ai un problème de traduction, car pour moi un Husky c'est un chien de traineau. Bon ce qui n'empêche que j'aime bien ce 'blason' W.
I have a translation problem, because for me Husky this is a dog sledge. Well what does that I like the 'shield' W.
Nice! I had image resolution problems on the new portal so went back to posting smaller images through Blogger.
Detailing like that is a lost art.
HI YOUR PHOTO WERE SO LUSH
What a beautiful building. I can see why that campus is considered to be one of the most beautiful on the west coast.
Beautiful shot. I love these architectural details. I love all your photos!! What a pleasure to visit!
That is lovely! The emblem reminds me of the ones you see in Colonial Williamsburg/William & Mary.
Bonjour! Je reponds au commentaire d'Olivier en ce qui concerne "husky". Ce chien de traineau est la mascotte de l'Universite de Washington, et tous les etudiants sont donc des "huskies".

Kim, lovely photo! How about some gargoyles from UW's walls? :<)
Thankyou to Bibi for the explanation. I only think of a Husky as a dog. Beautiful carving.
