The Office

Some jobs need doing, and there's only one way to get them done. How would you like to have the great outdoors for your work cubicle? This guy was sitting aloft getting his sail rigging ship shape, his shadow his only companion for the task. Our CDPB friend Marcel in Sitka would know what this is like. He and his wife built a sailboat and lived aboard her for many years before moving ashore in Alaska. I miss him and Sitka Daily Photo, and this made me think of him. More shots here.

Tomorrow marks SDP's 1000th daily post, and its also Theme Day, so hope you'll come by!

This is a terrific shot, with all those masts and the lone figure. Don't envy his being so high up. Outdoors, yes, but up, no!

I'll be back tomorrow for Theme Day. You drop by, too. My post will be for Theme day and ABC Wednesday---double-header. Maybe triple...

Beautiful! I wouldn't have noticed his shadow if you hadn't pointed it out. I guess that's good you're the photographer and I'm not! I sure love your work though! I've lived here all my life and really appreciate the beauty!

Nice to see he put white socks on to casual-down the suit for the job. What a fun photo, Kim! See you tomorrow for your special celebrations.

I'd love to have an office outdoors, but nothing too physically strenuous please! ;)

I miss Marcel and Sitka too. I hope he and his family are doing well.

I'll see you tomorrow for the big shindig!

Excellent "office" space esp. when it's nice & sunny! (Do you remember seeing a short film, where (clay) animals in a zoo were interviewed - Creature Comforts - where a South American large cat says, in an appropriate accent "E-space, I miss the e-space.")

1000th posts of such amazing quality. CONGRATULATIONS on that wonderful achievement, Kim!

Thanks Kim for your kind words. What a surprise for me when I took the time to check out your daily blog. I do still stop by from time to time, but alas I’m still way too busy for my own good.
