Moonrise Over Thomas & Boren

Like so many cities seem to have done, Seattle purchased street signs that were supposed to be able to be read at night because of their reflective quality. . .but in reality one can't read them at night, or by day (one of my pet peeves. . .but I'm not bitter). To follow up on Friday's moon shot, here the moon was rising on this street scene in a light industrial area of the Cascade neighborhood.

I really like this subject and the way you framed it. Very nice.

Looks like a period behind the sign, Kim -:))

I've also noticed that when signs fall down, the city assumes everyone knows what street it is and doesn't replace it.

Nice shot. Yeah, they assume you know the street names. They also assume you know the quirks of the bus routes (sometimes in the tunnel, sometimes not; sometimes down 2nd, and sometimes down 3rd). And they assume that you know where all the bus tunnel entrance/egress points are, as they are not clearly marked. I can get out of the tunnel just fine, even though I'm not always sure where I'll end up (Westlake Center, I'm talking to YOU). But finding an entrance again? WOULD IT BE SO HARD TO HAVE A CLEAR, LARGE, AND BRIGHTLY COLORED STANDARD ICON FOR THE TUNNEL? Not that I'm bitter.
