You can cue up U2's "It's a Beautiful Day" if you'd like. Today in Seattle the sun is high in a cloudless sky, the mountain is out, and a hint of autumn coming is in the air. Students are starting to return to town. Sometimes people don't realize how beautiful they are. I couldn't resist capturing these three friends in gorgeous light as they were chatting, enjoying each other's company and the very fine view from Kerry Park Outlook. I included the park's plaque which gives information on the Kerry family's donation of this property on W Highland Drive and its unobstructed view for the enjoyment of generations to come

I love the way you see the world. I love the way you share it with us. I've seen that mountain and it is a thing of beauty. Thank you, Kim.
What a great slice of life. It's funny how people how live in an area get so used to their surroundings that views such as this are often overlooked. You're pictures always seem to make me miss the west coast.
Well, gosh, I don't even recall feeling blase about a view like this. After all, it's always a celebration when The Mountain is out. Kim, down here in the desert I've been up way too late way too many nights-into-morns and tonight's no exception, just getting ready for my classes. Right now typing syllabus. So tired & cranky. But gosh this picture lifts my spirits, your capture of these three beautiful youngsters sitting surrounded by beauty. Thanks!
Nice! We have a couple of these 'postcard' shots taken right after we'd attended a wedding in Parsons' Garden.
That is a really relaxed summertime photo. I like it!
Wow! What an amazing view!
Love that you included the people in the photo.
I love this shot. Such a typical thing to be doing on a beautiful day in Seattle!
Hi Kim. I love this picture and your comment that sometimes people don't know how beautiful they are.... there's such beauty in everything. I changed computers and completely forgot about checking my friends blogs each day. New school year starts on Monday. Thanks for sharing with us each day.
I love sitting at this spot. It's one of my favorites in the city.

Thanks so much, guys! Seems like this summer I've been there more than my normal twice weekly rounds. If you see me walking nearby or eating lunch on one of the park benches, please say hi. Thanks for checking in Mona, and everyone!
