Historic Chinatown Gate

This beautiful huge gate spans S King Street near 5th Avenue S and will be two years old in February. It marks the western boundary of old Chinatown in Seattle's International District. More funds are being raised and it is hoped that a matching gate can be constructed at S King Street and 12th Avenue S. You can read more about it here.

Nice shot. I think I'd have a problem fitting that amazing gate into a single image.

We saw this on our last trip to Seattle. It really is beautiful. You can see it from some distance too.

That's a spectacular shot and a wonderful perspective, Kim! They are re-developing our Chinatown here, so it will be interesting to see what our new gate looks like.

You've managed to capture this gate so well! I have never been successful with it. I think I need a wider angle lens.

This looks so much better at night. I didn't realize it was so nicely lit. Thanks for the tip -:))
