Glamor with inspiration from several by-gone eras was on view in the Luly Yang Couture window, shining jeweled slippers and all. Anyone would make quite an entrance in these form fitting gowns in sumptuous fabrics and embellishments.

Such elegance. Ahhh. Do you ever have occasion to dress so exquisitely?

How beautiful. Such rich fabrics and colours. Almost stage or film clothes now, one would imagine.

Wishing you a very Happy New Year, dear Kim and thanks for all the great photos and all the encouragement you so generously give.

One would indeed make an elegant entrance, but unless you are a regular in the charity ball circuit, there are not many places where one could wear these, and, of course, you would not want to be seen wearing the same dress many times.

It would be tough to pack these for Palm Beach for "the season."

Not quite my style or color, but thanks for your suggestion. Think I'll stick to Value-Village -:)

Okay Chuck, I'm tempted to paste your head shot on one of the manikins cuz I think you look splendid in bold colors :-). . .not sure the cigar would work as an accessory, though ;^).

It just occurred to me what I SHOULD have titled this shot: "Grunge IS Dead." Somehow people associate women's fashion in Seattle with some mixture of REI/Pategonia meets Nomadic Traders. Ain't necessarily so, although this collection does seem to be aimed toward the celebrity set or film costuming. Bridal and formal wear I've seen on real people here this year is still heavy on the simple streamlined strapless look. If this is any indication, change might be in the wind.

I always look forward to peeking in the Luly Yang windows. And dreaming. . . of being svelte enough to wear one and do it justice. . . of the days when I used to go to glitzy events in gowns.
