The dough rises pretty high at Snoose Junction Pizzeria. It's my iPhone Wednesday shot for this week. Paris Daily Photo is also featuring an iPhone shot of St. Martin's canal on a snowy day today, and Ming at Bangor Daily Photo is an honorary Seattlite today with his iPhone shot of Jones Soda and coffee he had for lunch in Maine. Check out Petrea's glass block view iPhone shot at Pasadena Daily Photo, and Chuck's AMAZING neon sign window shot at One a Day Mostly Seattle, too!

Nice and quick shot. I love to watch these people work. I have made spaghetti for dinner, but now I want pizza.....

Lovely picture! I like to see the pizzaiolo working before I eat the pizza. What an artist! :)

This has such a late-night-got-a-serious-case-of-the-munchees feel to it.

That's a great photo, Kim. I don't have an iPhone but now I wish I did!

@ Bibi, I have to laugh. Like you I do try to be discrete when taking shots like this; but, it took about 8 shots with lots of waiting between before I actually was able to catch the dough in the air. The iPhone shutter is not instantaneous and there is no burst shooting or camera settings to fiddle with to stop action. I didn't want the poor woman to feel weird having me pointing the iPhone her way. So, quick shot it wasn't, but I still managed to not be too obvious.

@Marta: I like when the chefs and staff are not hidden away and we can see them at work, too.

@ Louis and Luis, thank you very much.

@ Brattcat: It was maybe 6 or 7, not very late on this visit, but I have gone there after night classes on occasion, for sure! This is a fave haunt because their salads are great and one can buy slices with really yummy ingredients (great for me not to have to buy a whole pizza).

Paula, If Apple were smart, they would highly upgrade the camera in the iPhone, especially get a decent lens going for it. Other cell phone cameras can get better shots, but the zillions of photography related Apps available for the iPhone make it really fun to mess around with. I had a Palm Pilot for years that I used the camera feature on it a lot, so the smart phones for me are just an extension of something I already used a lot.

Love the photo of the pizza in mid-toss. So does it mean you lose (the pizza) if you snooze? :-)
