Dramatic skies have dominated the week. On this afternoon as I was walking in the Ballard neighborhood a patch of blue stood in such dramatic contrast to the uber dark brooding area on the right, I just had to try and capture it.

Take a look at many beautiful sky shots from around the world at Skywatch Friday, or add your own!

You captured the scene very well indeed. We have had similar skies the past several days, and right now I have a frightened dog panting at my side because of thunder and lightening. Suppose I should get off the computer!

Want to thank you for your recent visits and the comments you made about the three little girls posing for me after the Family Fun Run. St. Paul has a huge community of both Somali and Hmong immigrants that have enriched the community in many ways. Our children are learning about diversity first-hand.

It is a very impressive sky(watch) indeed. I'm always astonished about the nature's play. Great work, Kim.

The contrasts in light and texture are stunning, simple and effective.

Bravo for those crisp, clean clouds, which remind me of my grandmother's sheets on her clothesline, whipping in the wind.

That sky is incredible. It makes the house look like a painting but for the moment i can't think of the artist. Grrrr.

I ADORE your new header. Many changes I see to the 'look' of the blog and all great. It looks so fresh and somehow you've simplified it - beautiful. Bravo.

Yes, I was walking under a similar sky in Ballard yesterday. The drama overhead has been amazing this past week and I love your photo today!

Thanks, too, for your visit and comment of "love and Bondo". I realized this morning I'd forgotten to do a title for today's post, so borrowed your cute description. Hope that was ok! Now it is "Love and Bondo in Ballard" -:)

Yes, I agree! Very dramatic! I'd love to see skies like these down here in the SF Bay Area! Such skies are very rare for us, though. Great shot. Thanks for stopping by at my SWF post.
