I had really high hopes to take all new pictures for my guest stint here, but the weather has really not been cooperating. I have been inside all day watching it rain and rain and rain. So, you will have to suffer through yet another favorite of mine from my back catalog. This was taken from the Yesler bridge over I-5 looking north. One of my earliest inspirations as I was getting into Flickr was a similar shot by photographer Puja. This was my tribute to that amazing photo.
this is really a great perspective! Fantastic photo! Happy New Year Kim:)
ReplyDeleteI also like the shot and the colors are intense.

Wow this is such a great shot!
ReplyDeleteKim thank you so much for those kind words at my blog. So glad to amuse! I have answered your questions there now too...;) ! Ok so now I'm off to Paris to tease Eric if I can find something to say. lol!
You've cracked it! GREAT shot!

I can't even begin to imagine how you guys get an effect like this. It's fantastic, Shawn!
ReplyDeleteDynamic, sharp and a bit unreal, how's that for a comment?
ReplyDeleteJust checked on the original. It's great in it's own way, but yours is technically better imho.
ReplyDeleteI like yours much better than Puja's. The blue sky in yours adds a nice finishing touch that is lacking in the other.
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteHey this crowd of CDPB folks does not care when you take the photo. We just like looking at 'em!! This is fabulous. Good job for sure.

ReplyDeletegreat perspective. It's so intense, i love this shot!
ReplyDeleteGreat Perspective. Very well done.
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo, Shawn, a couple folks think you've bested your inspiration (I won't tell P ;^)!). Kudos! I remember P's shot vividly. Her work is an inspiration to so many of us here in Seattle.
ReplyDeleteZolt & Lynnie, thank you!

Shawn, you've got so much motion in the photo - the clouds really are moving & the cars imply it. Fantastic perspective.
ReplyDeletegreat image...the composition makes it look like a split image..well done!...and Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteExcellent shot - everything is so vivid
ReplyDeleteShawn, I'm glad you shared the location. I probably would have figured it out eventually, but thanks for saving my hair :) Very nice cityscape!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot, great city
ReplyDeleteWhat an intriguing shot. There's so much to see. And so much said. It's a neat little game for the mind. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteBOTH photos are equally amazing. Yours is crisp and clear.
