I had really high hopes to take all new pictures for my guest stint here, but the weather has really not been cooperating. I have been inside all day watching it rain and rain and rain. So, you will have to suffer through yet another favorite of mine from my back catalog. This was taken from the Yesler bridge over I-5 looking north. One of my earliest inspirations as I was getting into Flickr was a similar shot by photographer Puja. This was my tribute to that amazing photo.

  6. Just checked on the original. It's great in it's own way, but yours is technically better imho.

  7. I like yours much better than Puja's. The blue sky in yours adds a nice finishing touch that is lacking in the other.

  11. Woo hoo, Shawn, a couple folks think you've bested your inspiration (I won't tell P ;^)!). Kudos! I remember P's shot vividly. Her work is an inspiration to so many of us here in Seattle.

    Zolt & Lynnie, thank you!

  12. Shawn, you've got so much motion in the photo - the clouds really are moving & the cars imply it. Fantastic perspective.
